We recently did another test buy, and received another counterfeit camera. Although it is the same basic camera as the other counterfeit, there are some minor differences: It shipped with the time stamp set to off, so it wouldn't be as readily apparent as a counterfeit. The product packaging is different, and is labeled as a #16 808 camera. The QC sticker is more like that of the Mobius. Pictures and notable differences have been added to the counterfeits page. As always, only by from reputable dealers to avoid the hassle of dealing with a counterfeit.
Firmware revision v2.41 has recently been released. This revisions adds/fixes the following: Added feature for changing first four characters in the video file name. Fixed bug that caused "fractured" frames when 10fps frame rate was set with Audio Recording turned OFF. Fixed bug that caused Video Data Rate and File Size to be recorded incorrectly in the file properties metadata when the frame rate was changed.
Amazon and eBay are currently loaded with fake Mobius cameras. We recently did a test buy of one such camera from eBay, and have documented it on our counterfeit Mobius page. If you receive such a camera, we recommend contacting eBay or Amazon, and reporting it as such.
Improvements to the Mobius have just been announced. The Mobius will now be shipping with a revised circuit board, and although this is not the first time the PCB has been revised, this revision brings features worth mentioning. Addtionally, the battery and case have been updated. The V3 revisions brings with it: A revised case, with an oval LED window for better visibility. A larger, 820 mAh battery, which provides approximately 130 minutes of recording timer per charge.
